Augmentation of Troops in Iraq

President Bush had recently announced that there will be an augmentation to the troop level in Baghdad. The idea is to secure one place before moving on to secure another. I like this idea very much.

The earlier strategies had been compared to "whack-a-mole" where upon eliminating one mole, another pops up. That's why when I play the game, I always hit sideways (takes the whole mole off the machine). People get made at me for destroying the whole machine, but hey at least I get the job done.

What we should do now is extend this idea a little further. We should concentrate our forces, which are currently covering the whole Iraq, and focus on just a quarter of Iraq. We will let the Taliban take over the other three-quarters and build up a military for now. But, once that one quarter is secure, we will move our troops to engage the Taliban in another quarter, and we'll proceed until the job is done. By allowing them to build up a military, we can engage them in conventional warfare.
